Calculator data
Values entered into the calculator are processed in your web browser. RunCost Lab does not send the numeric calculator fields in its custom analytics events. Share links can contain calculator settings in the URL so another browser can restore the same estimate; analytics is configured to record the page path without the query string.
Preferences and saved calculations
Your theme, selected state, recently opened calculator links, saved calculations, and usefulness responses are stored only inside the current web browser on this device. They are not uploaded to a RunCost Lab account, server, or cloud and do not automatically appear in another browser, phone, or computer. They may remain until you clear this site's browser data; clearing that data removes them.
Hosting and analytics
Cloudflare may process basic request and security data to deliver and protect the site. RunCost Lab also uses Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand page visits and engagement. GA4 may process information such as page path, browser or device information, approximate geographic region, referrer, and engagement events. RunCost Lab's custom calculator events identify the calculator and interaction type, not the watts, hours, rate, cost, or saved calculation contents you enter.
Advertising-related Google consent signals are denied by default in the site tag. RunCost Lab does not currently load Google AdSense ads. If advertising is enabled later, the site will update this notice and enable the consent controls required for the regions where ads are served.
Advertising and consent
RunCost Lab is being prepared for possible Google AdSense use. Before personalized Google ads are served to users in the EEA, United Kingdom, or Switzerland, RunCost Lab will use a Google-certified consent management platform where Google requires one. Until an advertising account and consent platform are configured, no AdSense script is intentionally loaded by RunCost Lab.
